Dedication

In 2009 we set up the Eye Research Group Oxford (ERGO) with the goal of creating a formal structure for research within the Oxford Eye Hospital. We have expanded from a team of 2 dedicated researchers to a hub of a talented multidisciplinary team with support from major grant providing bodies, such as the CLRN and NIHR.

Ambition

Our ambitious research programmes set the standard for translating science and research into new and better NHS clinical care. If you are an ophthalmic researcher, patient or part of the wider community we hope this website will help to promote research.

Collaboration

Our collaboration with the University of Oxford underpins the quality of our research; we bring innovation from the laboratory bench to the bedside. We also deliver high-quality education and training of doctors to promote the practice of evidence-based medicine within the NHS.
