Lidia Milla, Research Coordinator.

Lidia joined the Eye Research Team in 2015 providing administrative support to the genetics team with obtaining results, preparing documentation for multi-disciplinary genetics meetings, as well as coordinating the flow of patients at the clinic, scheduling  appointments, and liaising with other hospitals. Lidia has acted as the scrum master and led the team in applying scrum methodology.

Recently Lidia has completed a course in Planning & Managing Clinical Trials at Oxford Brookes University. Lidia is now the Junior Research Coordinator responsible for the Investigation of genetic susceptibility to retinal toxicity in patients taking hydroxychloroquine study for professor Downes. Lidia has extensive experience with clinical service evaluation, including service audits. 

Lidia is originally from Barcelona and has worked in training, publishing as well as the healthcare sector. Lidia’s broad range of experience provides her with considerable personal and professional resources to understand and work with a range of administrative procedures. Lidia enjoys solving complex issues that require focus and analysis.  Lidia is very effective at providing solutions for situations with tight timelines and budget constraints.
