Genomics England programme (GeL)

The 100,000 Genomes Project

The project is designed to sequence the genomes of people affected with cancer or rare diseases, which can also include some of these individual’s relatives.  The aim is to understand more about these conditions and hopefully find new genes that are causing these conditions and ultimately new and/or more effective treatments for these conditions.
